Day 1 (Monday) : FROM MARSEILLE TO LES BAUX DE PROVENCE

Pick-up at Marseille-Provence airport or Aix en Provence TGV station and transfer to Road2luxe agency. You'll pick-up the bike and go to hotel through "Olive's road"

Avignon city tour y by foot, with a stop and visit (with official englsh speaking) to the Popes’ Palace.

You will start in the late afternoon to St Remy de Provence, a beautiful village located in the heart of the Alpilles Mountains for a short city tour.

 

Dinner and night at your hotel **** in Les Baux de Provence

Located at the foot of the Alpilles in a pleasant Provencal garden, the hotel offers spacious rooms decorated with typical Provencal sunny colours.

The lovely swimming-pool in the garden offers a beautiful view of the Alpilles.

Situated right in the heart of Provence, this old Provencal house was drawn by Vincent Van Gogh during his stay in St Remy de Provence.

 

 

 

Day 2  (Tuesday) : ST REMY / GORDES - 120 kms

Buffet Breakfast in your hotel

Little roads to reach an Olive oil mill, the “Moulin de Castellas” for a free stop and visit. Then proceed to « Les Baux de Provence » for a private tour, including the castle with an official English speaking guide

Some leisure time given to stroll the small streets – Fantastic views of the Alpilles Mountains and the Camargue plain!

Lunch on your own then an afternoon trip on a very scenic road will bring you to Gordes, one of the “most beautiful villages of France”

Accommodation in your hotel in Gordes.

Dinner in this lovely village and overnight stay.

Day 3 (Wednesday) : GORDES / MONT VENTOUX / GORDES - 160 kms

An impressive day and superb roads are your program today :

Vaison La Romaine personal discovery then you will climb on a fantastic twisting road with marvellous landscapes and reach the top of the Mt Ventoux (1911m – 5650 feet), called “Provence’s giant” were you will find a very rare and world protected forest.

Lunch suggestion on the south of Ventoux in Crillon le Brave or Bedoin beautiful village

Proceed to impressive “Gorges de la Nesque” and arrival in Sault village, a region of lavender, for a a visit and tasting in a “Nougat” factory.

Then in the afternoon, your road will bring you to Senanque Abbey on very scenic roads before returning to Gordes for your second night in the same hotel.

Day 4 (Thursday) : GORDES / FORCALQUIER / AVIGNON - 180 kms

Today will be an epicurean feast for you!

A lovely road that will bring you to the Haute Provence state, between the Lure and Luberon Mountains. You will discover the famous “Pastis” drink (with extra) followed by a typical meal on your own we invite you to discover near Forcalquier,

Proceed to Avignon in late afternoon and accommodation at hotel Le Cloître Saint Louis 4****

This is the way we live in Provence, where food is for sharing. Christian Etienne is a native son, and in his restaurant close to the Palace of the Popes in Avignon he brings you the taste of vegetables grown under the Provencal sun.

Christian Etienne knows his Provence well, its specialties - olive oil, garlic, vegetables, with a preference for tomatoes, truffles and for all its aromatic herbs. He makes them sing in his cooking, mixing tradition and innovation.

 

Day 5: AVIGNON or MARSEILLE / DEPARTURE

Breakfast in your hotel.

Morning and lunch on your own for shopping or personal visit, Departure to Aix en Provence TGV Station or Marseille airport and bike return at our office close to these places.
